President

Vice President

Head of Events & Competitions

Oversee and manage the running of the society for the academic year. 

Events Officer

Work with the President and Vice-President to organise and run educational events (i.e., panel discussions). Duties will include coming up with event ideas, arranging speakers for events, making room bookings and other logistical arrangements. You will receive support and guidance from the President and Vice-President.

Newsletter Editor

With the help of the Head of Events and Competitions, the Newsletter Editor will be in charge of creating a bimonthly newsletter informing the members of the upcoming events, opportunities and developments within the criminal justice world. Be responsible for reviewing submissions from members and have complete freedom to incorporate their ideas into the newsletter. 

Support the President to run the society and are responsible for hosting events in the absence of the President. The Vice President will also oversee the running of the CJS podcast 'Convicted by the People'

Competitions Officer

Work with the President and Vice-President to build new links with our local community, this will include creating and overseeing several opportunities (e.g., creating workshops and resources to educate members of the public, mock trial, and a CV review scheme for people recently released from prison). Also, work alongside the Social Secretary to organise meals for the local homeless people.

Marketing Executive 

Be responsible for managing and running all of the CJS's social media pages (inc. Instagram, LinkedIn and email). Running paid campaigns and thinking of other ways to promote our society and attract new members.

In charge of overseeing the events and competitions team in the CJS (inc. Events Officer, Competitions Officer, Social Secretary and External Relations Executive). They will be expected to help any member of their team carry out tasks when the team are especially busy

Social Secretary

Be responsible for organising social events for the society, they will have free rein to organise fun social events for both members and committee. Work with other committee members to assist with the organisation of the Christmas Networking dinner.

External Relations Officer

Be responsible for managing public relations, partnerships and collaborations of  the society, as well as being in charge of fundraising opportunities.
